Kuldr Adurna

((This is my first RPG character, so excuse me if something isn't right, I've been working on this since last Friday.))

Name: Kuldr Adurna (Name had insipration from the Ancient Language in the Eragon series. Translates to Gold Water)

Age: 137

Race: High Elf

Sex: Male

Hair: He has semi long hair that goes down almost to the bottom of his neck. It's colour is silvery gray.

Eyes: Deep gold eyes that seem to hold anyone's gaze onto them. It's nearly impossible to talk with him without staring at his eyes.

Weight: He weighs in at about 150 pounds, as elves are usually creatures without much weight.

Height: Kuldr Adurna is about 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Weapons:

Lifa:A Jian of a similiar lengh to that of a longsword. It was forged for him when he was one-hundred years old, as was customary for his clan of High Elves. It is made from a special type of gold that weighs less than steel; named sunsteel, to symbolize his strong powers over light, and is edged with the scales of a Hydra to make it a deadly cutting tool and to symbolize his other efficiency over water. The hilt is made of pure diamond, which is a symbol of good luck to his clan. It's name means fortune, and it's wielder is blessed to have power, and of course, good fortune.

Armor: He doesn't wear much for armour usually, only a gold steel brassard that covers his right arm and shoulder, along with a green tunic and slightly baggy pants. But if he is aware of a battle beforehand he typically dons a gold colored mail chainbody, a sunsteel helmet, armoured gauntlets, sunsteel boots, and specially crafted leather chaps. He doesn't mind that it makes him use more energy to cast spells, he simply iniatiates one of his auras which fixes it mostly.

Strengths: As anyone would guess, being an elf, he has exceptionnally strong magic, endurance and slightly above average sworpdlay skills. He has a vast storage of mana without needing any magical weapon, but Lifa has some just incase. And since he is also a High Elf, he thinks of himself as better than every other race, giving him lots of confidence. He is extremely versatile in water and light spells. The light and aqua auras also help him a lot in combat.

Weakness: Horrible at lying, so if he's captured he wouldn't be very effective and leading the enemy away from his secrets. Heat has a strong effect on him, and so does dark objects. When he's near something imbued with dark powers his traditionnal confidence drains away and is replaced by dread. As a result it's easy for the object to take advantage and have total control over him. If their is no light source nearby using light spells uses much more mana, as he has to create the light himself. Same for the aura, without light he cannot bring any into himself. If their is no water nearby water spells use much more mana, as he has to create the water himself. Same for the aura, without sufficient water he cannot bring any into himself. A side effect for him being effective in two skills is that he isn't very efficient at others types of magic or magicks. Also, if he can't pull himself out of a combined aura fast enough he will collasp, leading him to huge injury or death.

Skills/Magic: The spells he can use are nearly limitless, but since he has two strengths instead of the normal one, he uses a lot more mana on anything besides water and light.

Orb of Light: He can create an orb of pure light that can follow him around or remain stationary. Though, typically he has to cast it outside of the dark and have it follow him inside unless he is willing to sacrifice huge ammounts of strength to create light.

Blinding Flash: Creates a huge flash of light that will most likely temporarly blind anything nearby with eyes except himself. He prefers to use natural light if possible as to not expend energy. If he is forced to create the light though, it can use an incredible ammount of mana as he must create it himself. Typically the flash comes him eyes, so if he wants he can concentrate on a particular object and direct the light into it.

Burning Ray: He makes light so intense that it burns the skin and can catch some things on fire. Generally it appears as a beam of light looks like comnig from a window on a hot summer day, but a deeper shade of yellow. Typically comes from his left hand. The hotter he makes it though, the more of his energy it uses.

Light Aura: By drawing natural light and focusing it on himself, he can start a light aura if there is enough.. Appears as if he is a light source himself, like an oversized lightbulb. It gives him superior ability over light and giving him almost no mana usage over light spells. It makes his eyes glow even golder than they normally are. Side effects are that he loses most control over any other element, and makes him corrupt. Though, he isn't a god-like being, as the aura drains his mana at a steady rate. At most, he can stay like this for an hour of battle, which, considering how long battles can last, isn't too much. Each spell he casts also uses up about 20 seconds of his aura, as his aura spellcasting is never mesured in mana, but usually in time. If he forces himself to stay in aura, he maybe can keep conciousness for a minute before he collaspes of exhaustion.

Flood: He can manipulate nearby water to flood a certain area, or send it pulsing like a hydro-cannon at an enemies. For anyone nearby it would appear as if the water starts floating or traveling somewhere where physics wouldn't let it go. For a hydro-cannon it compresses itself into a tiny point, then releases the pressure in the direction Kuldr Adurna wants it to go. The more water he manipulates at once, the higher drain on his storages of mana.

Draw Water: Handy for if he's in a desert, he can draw water from the ground to keep him alive. It's as if roots come from him and seep the water to the surface. The magic goes below the soil and altches ontot he water, then drags it back up. Since he's only moving an element without defying gravity, it uses hardly any energy.

Tidal Wave: In some circumstances he can control the water to form a massive tidal wave that he can send crashing onto his enemies. Essentially the same thing as flood, but he needs much more water or his body will kill itself trying to create water. Extremely advantageous on battles near the sea.

Aqua Aura: By drawing and focusing water on himself, he can start an Aqua Aura if there is enough. Him being in the aura is reconizable as waves of blue energy coming away from his body for brief instances before coming back to him. It gives him superior ability over water and giving him no mana usage over water spells. It makes his eyes glow deep blue.

Electrical Shock: He can take friction and turn it into electricity, which he can use to shock opponents or animals. A blue bolt of lightning jumps from his left hand and tries to shock the thing with the best conductivity, but concentration Kuldr Adurna can direct it where he wants. The higher the voltage the more mana used.

Ushered Death: Since he is far from a master of dark arts, he can only instantly kill small animals and such. The animals will just drop dead, as if they lost all will to live and their brain just shut down. Not very useful though because elves typically don't even eat meat.

Retrieve Armour: Quite simple, makes his battle armour appear near him. It's a rather simple teleportation spell, it just appears next to him in a brief flash of emerald light.

Summon Light Follower: He can summon light into any shape he choses and have it follow and attack just like an animal would. It has no defined form, it becomes whatever he wills it to be. Though, he couldn't make some monster the size of a whale, that would msot likely kill himself. The biggest thing he feels safe to make is something the size of a brown bear. The bigger the creature the bigger usage of magical energy.

Summon Water Follower: He can summon water into any shape he choses and have it follow and attack just like an animal would. It has no defined form, it becomes whatever he wills it to be. Though, he couldn't make some monster the size of a whale, that would msot likely kill himself. The biggest thing he feels safe to make is something the size of a brown bear. The bigger the creature the bigger usage of magical energy.

Combined Aura: If he starts both auras at the same time, he gains insane powers over the elements light and water. Although, he loses all control over anything other than those two while in the aura. Infinte mana on aqua and light spells. His eyes turn gold with streaks of blue energy coming from them, and he turns completely power crazy. He won't stop until either him or his enemy is dead. Trying to talk or order him around is nigh impossible whilst he's in this state. In this state though his mana drains like crazy. After twenty to thirty minutes he will black out and not reawaken for at least ten hours. And since he doesn't feel tired because of his power, he can't judge wether he is about to be knocked out or not. He only does this if it's necesary, as collasping in battle is a death wish. He only stops when everything is dead, loses all his mana, he gains enough control to intentionally stop, or he is taken away from battle against his will. Every spell uses about 10 seconds of aura time.

Appearance: Kuldr Adurna is an elf, so as you would suspect he has their traits. He has long, pointed ears that really stand out infront of his silver hair. He has white skin that is rippled with muscle from more than a hundred years of tough work, and attempting to prove himself stronger than most. He wears a green shirt that has a sun logo on it with brownish green pants. He has a blue amulet that he always has around, given to him by his elder. His sword; Lifa, is usually in a gold and blue sheath he has strapped to his back with a red and blue buckle. His boots are emerald green. He wears a leather glove on his left hand that usually doesn't do much besides casting a few spells that require a free hand and holding his sword two handedely when he needs to. On his right arm is a gold steel brassard that has some hydra scale-mail on it, and ends in a golden gauntlet. Here are some pictures:

Personality: Naturally he's self-absorbed, which leads him to always think he has the upper hand in battle even if he becomes a crippled shell of how he started. He is also persistent on his goals, even though he can be a bit stubborn because of it. Horrible at lying. He is persistent and a bit stubborn, and has a habbit of annoying people when they try to change his mind. The type who wants to finish a grudge or fight without pause.

Biography:

I have a lot of history on me, consideirng I'm so old on humain standards, so I'm just going to say what you need to; and should; know.

Nobody knew exactly WHERE it is I spent most of my life until just recently, but my clan; The Quan; have resided here for millenia. We started when a group of elven priests were wandering along a cliffside after a war that nearly wiped us out. Fearing that staying near the elf lords would corrupt our religion, they wished to seclude themselves. They carved a small city out of the side of the cliff, and gradually it's habitants grew. They dubbed the cliffside Du Gahti. We are a holy clan that believe religion holds power over all else, we never had any significant contact with the other clans until just recently. 45 years ago; when I was 92; we received a missive from Lifien, the elf who tries to keep peace among the clans. Apparently he was really surprised we didn't know what was happening, so he told us many things in the missive. He recounted how the clans had made a pact to never again wage war against eachother, and how it seemed to work for a while. But then, on the very last part, we saw this:

Those blasted smithies who claim to work for the gods of the forges, behind our very backs they forged thousnds of weapons, many more than they have clan members. Recently a spy found out that they were supplying the humains with all sorts of weapons so they could wage war on us... I knew we should never have trusted the only clan of dark elves, even if they made weapons finer than the sharpest razor. We exiled them from our ranks, but they refuse to stop. I fear that if we don't act soon war may start.

And that very message made us realize why our seclusion in the cliffside was perhaps not the best chioce. So much was happening without us knowing, all the other clans could have died and we wouldn't have known. There are 10 clans, if you include the exiled Dark Elves. Nobody really knows what they call themselves, as they say names have great power. Besides them, 5 clans are pitiful Wood Elves and the remaining 4 are the almighty High Elves. Quan is a clan of High Elves, as we regard ourselves as the holiest of races. Immiediatly we started organizing parties to try to deal with the humains and Dark Eles through reason. But the humains would not listen and those of us who went to the Dark Eles never came back. Thus, 7 years after we received that missive a war broke out between the High Elves and Wood Elves versus the humains and Dark Elves. I wanted to aid in the efforts, but it was a year still before I would receive my sword and ability to join the military.

When the day came and I finally turned 100, a feast was held. Normally feasts aren't held, even when we turn 100, but I have something special; something unique about me. Normally for our race each of us is well performing in all areas of magic, and is given one elemental gift that they excel in. In some cases they can initiate an aura of their element. This 'aura' gives them higher power over their element while making other spells less effective. I was different though, I was given the gift of the godesses-two elemental gifts at the price of not being able to do much else with expertise. My gifts are Water and Light. My clan was looking forward to the day when I could aid in the war efforts, and it would be time as soon as the celebrations were over. I was presented with a sword, as we all are when we turn 100. It's name is Lifa, which means fortune. I was surprised they went through so much trouble to get the hydra scales and sunsteel for my weapon. I never quite realized what I meant to our entire race until this happened. I was also presented a blue amulet from my elder. He said it would have a use sometime in my future, though I can't think of what a circle of blue metal could do.

Shortly after, I was sent to the fields of Elda, where a group of Dark Elves were attempting to siege one of our cities before a sentry found them. It was a long battle that lasted ten days, and I had been physically and mentally pushed to the limit. During the war I had entered a light aura... But halfway through I was trying to manipulate some light to hide myself, but didn't control my magic right and directed water instead... Directly onto myself. A burst of pain followed that had me shakig violently on the floor. Before anyone could take me away though, My body seemed to had been possesed by some ethereal being and alls I thought of was hate and murder for the enemy. I turned into a merciless fighting machine, hundreds of enemies being pumeled under my blade and mentally disorted from my spells and tricks. After thirty-two minutes, my aura ran off and I collasped onto the ground. Luckly I had been dragged back to camp so I wasn't killed unconciously. I used so much energy it took me another day to regain conciousness. I have been carefull not to enter a 'Combined' aura as my fellows called it unless it was needed. Several battles had passed but no side seemed to have the upper hand. Two of are clans lost their home cities and had to seek shelter among others, but we managed to infiltrate a few humain cities and one dark elven tunnel.

37 years later and it is still going on. I am about to go on another battle campaign to seize a mountainside populate by both Dark Elves and humains. This could be a long battle if we are forced to siege it, but dangerous if we don't.
