Re: What's your opioion if nintendo put "demo play" on future zelda games
Well the whole point of this system is it isn't for us. Throwing in the fact it's completely optional, I don't honestly see why we're complaining. This is the training wheels that are going to get casual players into 'hardcore' games, like Zelda, without dumbing down the games themselves. Back in my day, if you were stuck in a game you were left guessing until your eyes bled, or you could wait for Nintendo Power to print a walkthrough for you. There wasn't an internet, or official walkthroughs.
Then came along walkthroughs and eventually the internet and playing games became a hundred times easier. But some people, like kids who are just getting into games, don't know about walkthroughs, or of magazines that can help. Yes, the internet has everything on it, but that doesn't mean that your grandma is going to think of that right away when she has a problem. When most people, ie people with lives, ie people who don't go on this site, don't immediately do well at a game, they toss it at the bottom of whatever drawer they have their games in, and the next time they see it in a store, they will remember "Hmm that last one was difficult, better not buy it." People aren't going to have that problem. Means theoretically people are going to be purchasing more of these games as time goes by and as more people are incorporated into 'our' section of the gaming industry.
This solves the problem presented by the casual vs hardcore audiences.
