(atleast thats what i always thought.)
Also the Moblin design seems to have varied between pig and dog faces over the course of the series.
Dog Faced Moblins: Appear in

AoL,
OoT, LA(i believe)
Pig Faced Moblins: Appear in
ALttP, WW,
TMC, etc.
