Now if all the theories are true about the spirit behind link being the Master Sword, then I actually made a similar suggestion back in January.

It could be like navi where when it needs to talk to you it flashes the button. However it does not shout "Hey" and "Hey Listen", noo, it should stay quiet until your ready to talk to it.
