My dad is unemployed and has been unemployed almost as much as employed in recent years. He's worked mostly blue collar jobs- maintenance on blow-mold machines for various companies, he's worked as a manager for a rental car company, wired machine cabinets, etc...
He's never had a career. Never went to college.
