A black jet shot out at Aronin from his opponent. A similar, but blue jet of hot substance countered it and resulted in a explosion between the two combatants and Aronin held his arm up to protect himself from the sand that was flung up in the air. The battlefield was now clouded in fine sand floating around; the previous breeze had somehow subsided.

"Let's see what you are made of," Aronin said mostly to himself as he lifted a hand. The sand around him followed the motion and soared motionlessly in the air around Aronin. He tilted his hand, and the sand shoot out towards Viratious, aiming to blind him, or at least create enough confusion for Aronin to get around him to attack him close up. He wanted to properly see the man beforehand.
