And I keep on saying, it's not just for competitive reasons. That's the goal of the project, but the changes are very noticeable, and it feels like a very different, more fun game.

I couldn't care less for whatever changes there are in Brawl+ because I'm not interested in hacking my Wii, and I'm perfectly happy with Brawl as it is (except for the goddamn tripping).
GUH. You could have just said that instead of implying that Brawl+ is just Brawl with competitive stuff in it (which, it really isn't).

Oh jeez, uh. It takes a bit of effort to get it going.

Google Brawl+, and it should take you to some Smashboards topics about modding your Wii and stuff.

They care because they can?

And Brawl may be a good game, but do you really think that chaingrabs, tripping, and infinites = fun?

I'm not going to lie; I play Ganondorf, and I don't have fun when Yoshi gets a nearly guaranteed kill on me, or when Shiek can just hold forward and push A alot to get me to 150%. I don't have any fun when I simply cannot win against an Ice Climbers guy who knows what he's doing.

The system is different, too; the do-it-yourself combos are back, it's a different (and, IMO a better) kind of fun.

It was fairly easy to modify Brawl due to the nature of the Wii and the project. The Wii has an internal memory, and the mods are done by using the equivalent of Action Replay-ish cheat codes.

If Melee could be modded (if the GameCube had an easy to read internal memory), then there would have been a Melee+.
