Yeah, basically it's because the flights wouldn't do it. I'm planning on staying in LA after Genesis anyway, so that's not a problem, it's just that Genesis is so far out of the way. ;_;

After I land in LA I'll probably bus it to Francisco and sleep the whole way, cure my jetlag. xD
