Re: Do people still buy CDs?
Well CD covers should be a piece of artwork that is meant to represent the band or the album that it is displayed on. So in general it should be something that catches the eye. But people need to remember that they can get the album artwork off of the vast internet too, and "illegal" *coughbull****cough* torrents usually do come with the album artwork, and you can just as easily get it off of windows media player, songbird, or itunes (which is terrible for getting album artwork <.<) if it doesn't originally come with it. Then it is just a matter of getting the printer ink that costs so much nowadays... even then I would rather have a digital copy of the artwork because a digital copy isn't so prone to getting torn or ripped.
CD's are fast becoming obsolete. We are getting bigger and bigger solid state drives for mp3 players, new "Tablet" pc's without CD drives are coming out, alot of Dj's are starting to buy vinyls again instead of using their CDJ tables, etc etc. But I do still admire the covers.
