Wow, I just downloaded Cave Story because I love Dr. Von Fish and his taste in games and such. I'm surprised I've never heard of it.
It's a really good game, it's like a combination, so far (keep in mind I just got out of the first cave so I'm not exactly far), of Megaman and Metroid. I love it. Also, I downloaded the Deluxe version and everything is working perfectly...I didn't even need to download the patch.
EDIT: I do have one complaint so far, though. The way I'm expected to pick up experience angers me.
