But yet government can corrupt.
These companies have been inefficient and have not sold good products compared to their competitors. If they are so bad as to expire, let them fall. Propping them up is a waste.
A side note: with banks and businesses alike, nothing is too big to fall. Banks that are larger usually are involved in deeper layers of risky activity. Just look at Standard Oil in the case of companies.
Wal-Mart in not so bad; the fact that it is a quick stop for everything makes it a superior competitor. Specialty stores are still in business because they have the things that you don't see there. If a 'mom-and-pop' competitor wishes to compete against the Wal, they must offer their services in an equal or better way.
