700 isn't that high for the SAT when it's out of 2400 (I think. Might be higher). But 30 on the ACT, that would be great. My suggestion is to go looking on the collegeboard site in the Testing section. It's actually helpful if you sign up for the daily SAT question through email. Also if you can afford it, the big blue book that is sold by collegeboard is a help since it has actual SAT questions in there for you to practice on.

I took the SAT for the first time in January, and I'm hoping that I got a good score, but I'm probably gonna have to take it again because I probably didn't get high enough scores on it.
Well, you don't have to take it again, but it's always good to do so unless if you're a genius and got perfect score the first time

What I really like is say the first time taken you got a 700 in the math section, 500 in reading, 300 in writing (lowest score possible recorded is 200). The second time you recieve 500 math, 450 reading, 500 writing. If you don't end up taking the test again, collegeboard will send your highest scores to colleges (the 700 in math, 500 in reading, and 2nd test's 500 in writing). So, not necessary to take again but always a smart idea incase you get lucky the second time.
