Maloe stared at the man hard and deep, her eyes becoming slits, glaring, "You wouldn't."

She stared around for a moment longer as the man entertained the thought in his head, a little absentmindedly. Her lovely splinter of a match caught her eye and she was overcome with a wave of glee. Now was her chance, and as the man was still in his movie land - probably playing out the scene of Maloe flying several hundred kilometers an hour - and blast his finger tips away in a flame of pain.

Her wings rufflied against his fingers momentarily and then the flames came faster than she expected; she thought it might be due to how furious she was, but she yelled a shout of triumph as the man's fingers broke away, and she fell towards the ground, being pulled by gravity. She stretched out her wings and the wind caught her just in time, a few inches from the ground. She fluttered around the man's head as he shook his fingers about, trying to relief the pain.

"You doofus." Maloe yelled venomously, "You were just about to use me as a baseball."

Maloe rolled her eyes and rested a top a nearby oak branch, "The nerve."
