I'd just like to point out that you're violating your own rules here. Also, that I'm thoroughly sick of this particular joke.
Anyways, I think
ZU should be portrayed as a town/city at the very least, if not a full-blown country in it's own right. The regulars would be the normal populace; we'd have tourist-types in the form of occasional visitors; people who have left sometimes show up to visit their friends again; things like that. The BA would quite obviously be it's literal incarnation - a
battle arena and the surrounding complex, where most of the BAers live and relax. Maybe we could even plant the Dome itself squarely in the middle. Hm.
The SD forum wouldn't be a run-down or inherently dangerous area; it would be agathering place for people to go to and debate various topics. Except the "debating" often gets little out-of-hand until the resident undisputed master (GDwarf) wades in, and occasionally throws someone out. Shadowy corners or poor lighting are optional.
The Clans would be fun to play with; areas of the city that often have a fair bit of influence, yet the only people who actually know where they are/can enter them happen to be the members of the Clans themselves (and, of course, the powers that be). Whether they'd be something more akin to not-very-secret societies or actual physical locations, I don't know; either one could be fun.
Anyways. Some things to think about there.
