The piece split from the others....
Ok, my friend and I were playing through Majora's Mask from the beginning, and me being me, I had to search every little detail fo the beginning sequence. I didn't notice anythign weird in the forest, but once I fell down the shaft, and got turned into the Deku....I noticed something remarkably weird. In the big beam of light coming from the roof, it shows three shadows. Two tirangles standing side by side, and one floating at the bottom, away from the other two. If you move that one triangle up.....it makes the Triforce. is this Nintendo trying to hint that "Yes, once Link went to Termina he was completely seperated from the ToC."? I mean, that is what it looks like. Being that fact that it is the top one that is missing from the Triforce symbol...the ToP is the one on top...this could be the only reference to Ganon in the game. I just thought this was cool to share.

Re: The piece split from the others....
wow... i have to chek that... would sure make some of my fic make sens... ahemm ... anyways i dont think it means he was separated... just maybe unable to use its power... or.. In MM its a reflection right so maybe the triforce has no use there and when Link came down the shaft it just waits for him there...

Re: The piece split from the others....
I've noticed that, and yes, it makes perfect sense. I doubt which piece of the Triforce it is that has been split really matters, either. Heck, it could even be a reference to Ganon's sealing away in the Evil Realm or whatever it was, if you want to argue that it's in reference to Ganon and not Link.
The problem with that one Ganon theory is that the Triforce is the same each way you look at it, being a triangle. Therefore, it could be that the piece missing on the "top" is really Link's being viewed from a different angle. |

Re: The piece split from the others....
I also noticed that. I think that the triforce left Link when he left Hyrule, cause the triforce is a part of Hyrule´s creation

Re: The piece split from the others....
The Link in the Oracles has a birthmark resembling the Triforce, he doesn't hold a piece.
And since in WW you learn that the Hero of Time did lose his Triforce piece when he left Hyrule, it's possible that those triangles represent that. It's a bit odd, though. |

Re: The piece split from the others....
I think Link lost his ToC in MM as soon as he fell down that shaft into the Termina dimension. My evidence is from tWW when the Red Lion boat tells Link about having to go find the shards of the ToC because he mentions that the original Hero of Time (Link from OoT/MM) left Hyrule on another quest (MM) after defeating Ganon, separating him from the things that made him what he was, and he said that the ToC shattered as a result of him doing that.
I think, now that you mention this, that the triangle thing you saw may have been Nintendo's way of hinting that he didn't have his ToC in MM. |
