They were easier to wield than he had imagined. He found that they didn’t actually ‘sheath’ themselves in the air, but they dissolved into particles made invisible by the slightest instance of light. Each particle combines with each other for form the crystalline swords when they’re needed. Other than their spectacular display when it comes to light and its intensity, they seem to be able to ‘detect’ other presences, forming what Rain dubbed ‘Silverlights’; tiny dots of moving…silver light. He used this to easily slip by other people without being heard or seen.

Rain hadn’t moved very far when he came across a reverberating crashing sound, mixed with a loud, booming voice. Someone was in trouble—Rain moved to take a closer look—but that someone…he didn’t expect it to her her.

The giant’s hand let go, and sent her flying through a wall. But her body never touched the ground after that. Rain had caught her from behind and put an arm around her. He cut his other hand (with the help of the extremely useful Silverlights) and ran his bloodied palm over Cadenza’s crushed hand. He took it gently in his as the injury started to heal.

“Are you alright?” he whispered, hugging her softly with that one arm.

“Having a little trouble with the amusement park ride, Latina?” he smiled a little and gently set her down to face the monstrosity of an angel before the two.

“It’s not very gentlemanly, swinging around a fine lady like that.” He grinned, even as he was unable to look directly upon the face of the giant.

A voice boomed down from above, “I despise interruptions.” it said. A curled fist plummeted down to the ground like a missile, heading directly for the Grim Angel. It was easy to dodge; just a smile and a simple sidestep, then allowing the Silverlights to shred the massive fingers like razors.
