When we were young and full of life...
Remember those days when you were a kid, and you'd wake up ridiculously early just to catch those cartoons in the morning? Jeepers, I can't believe I used to do that! Now I'm too lazy to get up! XD
What cartoons and programmes did you watch as a kid? I used to watch Captain Planet, Sumarai Pizza Cats, Sesame Street! ARGH! SESAME STREET! ;-; *Huggles Big Bird* <3 There were plenty more too, but me noggin' is a little slow. *Sigh* If only, if only, we could go back to those days~

Re: When we were young and full of life...
I would rarely wake up to watch something on my own accord, usually it would be my mom getting me up, and then watching TV because I was up. Shows like Care Bears were on at that early time, so I would catch that, I remember.
I do remember often getting up before anyone else during my family's yearly trips to Florida so I could watch American television shows. Muppet Babies is really the only one I can remember. I watched a lot of other kid's shows, but they were never really on that early in the morning. Oh! When I was in elementary school and they turned the Animorphs book series into a TV show I would try to get up early to watch that on the weekends, but since I don't have cable television at home, I could only get it in really terrible reception. Alas.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
Ohh, this should be fun. XD
The obvious ones that come to mind are Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Inspector Gadget, Powerrangers, blah blah blah. I remember when we got the Cartoon Network Channel, and the first time I got to watch Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken. Well, maybe not Cow and Chicken, something about that show upsets me, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. Was Cow a boy or a girl? Maybe that's what it was about the show that upset me so much. Cow seemed like a happy go lucky kind of person, but there's a sadness behind those eyes. A gender confused sadness, which much be terribly isolating for a young Cow from a family that is already so unorthodox. I wish her all the best for the future. ![]() Oh, but yeah, the Powerpuff Girls was always my favourite. The villians were so cool: Mojojojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins, Sedusa, Princess, The Gang Green Gang, the Ameoba Boys, The Rowdy Ruff Boys! One line from that show will live with me forever. It was one episode where Princess had bought a superhero suit and she wanted to be a Powerpuff girl, but obviously she can't because she's evil, and then Blossom said something like 'You can't BUY superpowers' and then Princess was like, 'Oh yeah? Tell that to Batman.' .... LMAO! ZING! Oh, I would HATE to be Batman watching that afternoon - she got him GOOD. Another of my favourites was Murder She Wrote. I used to watch this all the time on the summer holidays at my Gran's house. I LOVE JESSICA FLETCHER! The opening credits are modern classics, with the themetune playing in the background and Angela Lansbury tapping away on the type writer. We used to watch The Golden Girls all the time as well, and then Ricki Lake. Ricki Lake is one of the worst things that has ever been shown on television, but for that reason, it's also one of the best. It's so funny when they obviously can't think of a show title that rhymes, but they try to make it rhyme anyway. |

Re: When we were young and full of life...
I remember watching Wacaday during the school summer holidays back in the early 90's with good old Timmy Mallet. I would be up in the morning about 6am waiting for it to start about 9ish I think.
Does anyone remember this crazy show? ![]()

I know I used to watch Saturday Disney. I don't think it was very good though.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
Big Bird creeps me out XD
Jem and the Holigrams! I hated the Holigrams, though, I was a total MISFIT GIRL ![]() Transformers <333 - though, again, I wasn't for the good guys - GO THE DECEPTICONS!!! God, I love Megatron. (a thing for villians? Maybe XD <3) Quote:
I used to looove Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so much, the prick of the group, Ralpheal, being my fave . It's funny to think on the concept - turtles who transformed into ninja warriors, living in the sewers, trained by a giant rat... AWESOME.Oh, and like Azzy, I adored Samurai Pizza Cats. I loved Polyester. (I have a thing for villains and *****y characters, apparently) Oh, and I must pay my respects to the man, the hero, the legend forever - MACYGUYVER. He can build a rocket out of, like, a Coke bottle, string and glue. He is amazing.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
Let's see..
The shows that I can really remember during my childhood besides the usual Sesame Street, Mr. Roger's and whatnot would have to be Ninja Turtles (had a total obsession with that show when I was about 5 or 6), Fraggle Rock ("Down in Fraggle Rock! *clapclap*", Eureka's Castle (so great, but so very short-lived), Mr. Wizard (Yay, science! xP), and Super Mario Bros. Show. Oh! Voltron was another one I used to watch and that was definitely my younger days since I could barely remember any of it until I a friend of mine lent me one of the DVD's.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
I used to watch this kid's show on one of my local TV channels. It was called "Betty's Bloopers" or something like that, I forget the actual name. I can't even look up the information of the show because my memory has lost everything over the years.
Anyway, I was obsessed with this show. That and Blue's Clues. I watched Blue's Clues as if I was hypnotized. (which I probably was.)

Re: When we were young and full of life...
I wish I still had the enthusiasm I had as a kid. I'd wake up to watch Jackie Chan Adventures, Recess, the Buzz Lightyear series, Pokemon, Yugioh, and Scooby-Doo. Plus many others. I think my schedule was to watch Kids WB in the morning, then watch Cartoon Network at night, like Samurai Jack.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
Then you missed a helluva lot of Beast Wars. That show used to come on at 5:00 AM in the morning, on WEEKDAYS!
Atleast when I came home from school, we'd have theWhere in the World is Carmen Sandiego gameshow. If school couldn't teach you, TV would.

Re: When we were young and full of life...
I think I was a teenager when I watched Maisy, Little Bear, and Blue's Clues one summer. Some time later I wondered what it would've been like if everyone in that show were gangsters.
Blue: *raises paw* Pow. S-Money: Wussup Dawg. I haven't watched those shows since... I'll try to remember the ones I saw as a kid: Thundercats, David the Gnome, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Batman TAS (when I was a little older), Looney Tunes of course, Popeye, Mr Rogers, Eureka's Castle, |
