Rumpus by Cutshade forest (duel with GD)

I'll be using Grun (just scroll down the site, it's the secound from the bottom) against GD's April Caledonia.

A luxurious forest, filled with spring-green plant and majestetic trees. Bird-calls flows in the wind, together with the scent of flowers. The sound of a stream can be heard from far away, and you can just imagine the fishes swimming and waiting to get hooked. Though something seems to disturb the idylic image. Maybe it's the rabbit that chages colour for each jum, switching between brown and white. Maybe it's the fact that one tree creaked and fell over, and then started to comlain loudly about the soil these days. Because this is Cutshade forest, filled with magic and a neuseance to any wanderer who expect the path to stay in the same place.

But there is more out of place, mainly, a cluster og rocks walking through the forest and scraping the bark away from the trees it hits.

It's Grun, a wet cloth wrapped around his brain to keep his head somewhat cool, and the heat is making him angry.

Re: Rumpus by Cutshade forest (duel with GD)

Every step was a challenge for April, as the floor was covered with lush wildflowers and ferns, glisting in the cascades of light peeking through the green feathers. Animals were heard, but not seen in the undergrowth aware of the clumsy attempt of a single girl making her way through the forest. Watching her, even laughing, as April's grown was tugged and pulled at by the many fingers attact to the crowding foliage.

Grasping her balance against the crumbling bark, she slowly walked along, thinking quietly to herself. Passing the bubbling river not too long ago, telling herself off for not satisfying her thirst then and wearing her grown in this damp blistering heat. She sighed, resting her sweating body down among the leaves and low scented flowers. She was barely seen, with her head only popping up between the sea of green.

Catching her breath and trying to fight off this forest heat, she hear a sound of footsteps. April raised herself alittle higher to see if he eyes could pick up whatever was making these disturbes. At first she didn't believe her eyes...
"A Rock?" She whispered to herself.
Weary of this being she decided to sit low, a little out of sight, facing the "rock" and downwind.

Re: Rumpus by Cutshade forest (duel with GD)

The great big rock that was Grun sat down on a big patch of green moss, wich instantly complained about him sitting on them. He ignored it and breathed out. This infernal heat was getting to him, and he was getting more and more angry. Not the fire-red anger that drove people to great feats of strenght, but the dull, glowing anger that drives people to cause as much inconveniense to other people without causing inconvenience to the angered. This wasn't apperant to Grun, but not many things were.

He also felt an odd sort of lonely. He had just come down from the mountains and it wasn't very apperant to him, but it was caused by a lack of any smells. Not strange smells, but, to him, lack of smells. A troll has about a big sense of organic smells as a human has of the smell of granite and limestone. He didn't understand it, and that made him more angry.

He thumped his huge, oken club in the undergrowth, makeing the ground shakeing. Some of the trees drew gently away. The mark left astonished April, as it had beaten through the vegetation and sprayed dirt over the whole area, including Grun. Grun sat for a moment as a silent dirt-statue, his hands down his side, and his head hangeing. An expression of depression stole over his face, before being replaced with the more common anger. He stood quickly up and ran towards April.

It is worth to mention that although a troll isn't smart, it isn't stupid, and it's reflexes and instincts are maybe surperiour to most men. It was therefor, as he had thumped his club, he had noticed a shudder in the undergrowth a few feet away. And, as a concecuense, he now leapt at the unnerved April. The great shape of stone sprayed with dirt and glowering red eyes raced through the air at April head first and arms held foreward, ready to strike and grab.

Re: Rumpus by Cutshade forest (duel with GD)

Her eyes widen as the great troll sprinted towards her, his small pupils glowed almost red making April twitch slighty before quickly wiping away the little excess spray of mud from her face. She waited until Grun was a closer, her body shook with every large leap Grun took with his stone legs. These vibrations sent birds squealing high into the air, flying from their nests, scared for their lives. April thought the very same, quickly glancing up she found a spot, then she looked back at Grun now only few second away, he fingers clawing out ready to siege her.
Now! She thought.
Leaping up upon the fleeting tree's branch, she barely pasted the empty arms of Grun who stumbled in shocked from his missing target. Standing in the undergrowth he turned his head upwards. He sensed her.
April cling with her right hand to the tree truck, stareing back at the cluster of living rock. She let out her breath, relaxing slighty. She wasn't too sure what to do next, suppose she was safe now...

She felt her body violently shaking. Grabing ahold of the trunk with her both hands she looked down to find Grun tearing the tree from its roots. The soil seeps from the broken trunkas April is forced off the whining tree. Landing a little away from her perch she spins on her heels to face Grun who was relising her hold from the now destroyed plant.

Re: Rumpus by Cutshade forest (duel with GD)

Grun let the twisted plant fall from his hands, his body covered in dirt, moss and various plant. His eyes glowed and he opened his mouth to show an incoherent row of dimond teeth, the soft, greeny sun-light twinkeling and reflecting on them.

He is akin to happy, and he knows he will soon be using all his anger and strenght to defeat this little woman. He hardly needs to lower as he picks his club up from the ground and gets a good grip with both hands.

The silence is almost unnatural, and the trees seems to be closing in to see this battle. Both participants wait, unmoving, to see the slightest breech in the others attention. Their eyes are locked and they both are ready with their weapons, the air seems ready to crack under the concentration. After an eternity of this, one sound sneaks into the scene, the creaking sound of stone agains stone as Grun shifts his weight, moves a foot, and slowly takes a large step foreward.

They still have their eyes locked, and with mutal look, they know the spell is broken. Grun charges, his club raised and his mouth makeing a wide, evil grin.
April charges, hands gripping firmly on her sword and raseing it to shoulder height, holding it straight foreward.

Grun makes a wide swing around his body to cover any dodgeings, but he finds April has slammed her blade flat on top of his shoulder and used it as a lever to jump up and over him. He follows his quick instinkts and instead of stopping his swing, lets it continue, and follows it around.

His eyes glow gladly, and he growles, "Yev move fast, bu I havenae seen yev fight yet. lemme take yev, lettle lady."

With that, he lets go of his club with one hand, and with the other, raises it to his shoulder, facing back, and throws it towards April with such force as would make a comet jealus.
