Bio: Liya was born into the Zephnyr Clan, a warrior clan of the Ancient World. This fierce and ruthless clan’s symbol was the swift and deadly falcon. Tales were passed down throughout the generations of later Ages, telling of the Zephnyr Clan’s prowess and skill in battle. It was said that one single warrior of the Zephnyr Clan could hold his or her own, and sometimes even defeat, one of the great Dragons of the Ancient World.

Liya entered into this glorious warrior tradition when she was only five years old. Her mother, Risana Karonan, was one of her combat trainers, and her father, Bronak Karonan, was the best source of knowledge on stealth techniques in the entire Clan and passed everything he knew onto his daughter.

By the time Liya had reached the age of ten, she was skilled in hand-to-hand combat and in the use of the sword. Very few of the Zephnyr Clan members could best her in single combat. Her fame quickly spread throughout the Ancient World, and, soon, members from other warrior clans came to challenge her. Liya very rarely lost to anyone from outside her clan. But rival clan members never stopped attempting to defeat her, and, in their failure, Liya’s fame grew.

Once children in the Zephnyr Clan reached the age of 12, they could choose to narrow the focus of their training to one specific area of warfare. Liya chose to train to become an assassin. She continued in her hand-to-hand combat training, but she began to focus more on stealth and how to apply stealth to her combat style. She also became very skilled at knife-throwing and in the use of the staff and quarterstaff in combat.

There came a day, when Liya was wandering in the woods, that she happened upon a concealed wizard’s dwelling deep in the forest. Curious, she entered to find a wizard by the name of Tanryn still living there. To Liya’s surprise, Tanryn informed her of a plot to assassinate her, her parents, and the leaders of the Zephnyr Clan. When Liya asked question about how to stop it or who was planning it, Tanryn replied that he could reveal nothing about the future. He told her, however, that he could send her hundreds of thousands of years into the future so that she could escape harm. When Liya agreed, Tanryn, in order to provide Liya with extra power and protection, used his powers to bond her spirit with that of a special female falcon named Kryanak, and the two of them became one with each other.

Once the bonding was complete, Tanryn, as promised, sent Liya into the future. Now, she wanders the earth, searching for any remnant of her Clan.

Weapons: Being an assassin, Liya has many knives concealed within her clothing. Her primary weapon in battle, however, is her lightweight, but strong, rapier. She has some small ability with magic, but her real power comes from the falcon spirit she is bonded to. With the power she receives from Kryanak, she can harness the wind, fly, and do many other things that I am not revealing here.

Personality: Due to her assassin training, Liya is often very cautious in and out of battle. It is very difficult for her to trust anyone, even if they seem to have benevolent intentions. Because of this, Liya often prefers to battle and travel alone. She is confident in her combat abilities, but she is neither conceited nor boastful.
Appearance: Liya’s medium height and build allow her to move swiftly, and often times, allows her to go unnoticed by her opponents. Her hair is always pulled back in a ponytail, but a strand or two always seems to go and falls to the side of her face. She is almost always seen with her faithful falcon companion, Kryanak, perched on her shoulder.
