Sadly, Iilia looses. I like them both, but I just don't see meaning with Ilia like I did with Saria. She was just a girl who thought Link was attractive. Saria thought Link was meant for something greater.

Saria invented the catchy tune that is now stuck in my head. I can't remember Illia's tune at all.

Saria actually helped Link out by showing that she gave a crap about him. Illia just yelled at Link first time we meet her and took Link's horse.*

Illia didn't do anything...at all. She was the cliche Damsel in Distress throughout most of the game and spent the rest in a hut.
Saria supported Link in his early life, she helped him in his quest and even saved the world with him at the end!

So...(Takes Saria's arm and holds it up like a WWW referee over Illia's unconscience body. Saria looks bemused and joyful) DA WINNER!!!

* In Illia's defense, Link was being reckless to Epona and Illia wanted him to take better care of a live animal before he could ride one. She does care about him, but she's only a young, mortal, human girl.

** I don't think it's fair to compare Saria and Illia with the "She's a Sage!" thing. Illia's a mortal, human girl and Saria's an immortal, Korkiri girl. Illia had as much of a chance of becoming a Sage as Saria did becoming a Hylian. (And I mean before she became a sage)
