I'm an older ZU fan, and back in '88 there were no guides (that I knew of), and no online guides (there was no internet available in my area then), so I drove myself crazy trying to beat the original LoZ.

Fast forward 20 years......... with a wife, job and family, I'll admit I used an online guide to play and beat AoL (I'm currently playing all the games in order.... as long as I can get them for the gamecube). I just finished OoT playing w/ my little boy on my lap. He kept trying to grab the guide (maybe a hint to put it away!), but I used it anyway to play and beat OoT.

You've all got me thinking........ maybe I'm missing out the exploration part of Zelda games. Thinking back 20 years ago, it was a bit more exciting just wondering around Hyrule for weeks trying to find my way.

MM is next............. I have the guide, but I think I'll try the game without it! Thanks!
