Name: Wisp (Does not go by her actual name)
Age: 21 (with her height, appears to be around 14/15 though.)
Gender: Female
Race: Human (but has actual rabbit ears, explained in her bio.)
Eye color: Hazel/green combination.
Hair color: Multiple shades of medium brown, stopping at her shoulders. (Rabbit ears are same color as her hair.)
Height: Human; 5' 3", Rabbit form; 26-28 cm tall
Weight: Human; 180 lbs (does not look big at all.), Rabbit form; 4-5 lbs.
Weapon(s): [Main Weapon] Custom-made Main Gauche sword. The blade is a grayish blue and is two feet long and two inches wide. It is a double edged sword. There are two steep triangles along the flat part of the blade, which spans one and a half feet from the hilt and going up the sword. The triangles are reinforcements against the weapon breaking during a slash or stab. Looking at the weapon from the tip down, it looks like a + sign. There is a blue snake-like wave running down the center of the blade. The hand guard is the same color as the blade, and is four inches long and two inches wide, and it a smaller blue wave running across it. The side guard connects the hand guard to the base of the sword. Nearest the hand guard it is four inches wide but it tapers to two inches at the end of the sword. The handle is four inches long and two inches wide, wrapped in an orange-brown leather. The end of the sword has a grayish blue half sphere sticking out of it. (It is made of an unknown metal found in an ice cavern, with her teacher Zachary. Omar Vargas [owned by Altamira] forged this sword.
[Secondary/Off hand Weapon] A swordbreaker. It is a dagger designed to catch an opponent’s sword(s) and push/pull them away from Wisp. The blade of the dagger is dark gray, is seven inches long, and the blade width is two inches. It tapers to a point after six and a half inches. The dagger has teeth on one side of the blade, which look like flattened spikes, with small triangles on top. The space in between the spikes is a half an inch apart, and there are six slots along the blade edge, the spikes are also a half of an inch wide. The hilt of the dagger was three inches long and two inches wide, and is wrapped in the same color of leather as her Main Gauche. (Also made from an unknown metal, and was found in the same ice cavern with Zachary. Omar Vargas forged this weapon as well.)
- Both weapons are held on a leather strap around her waist.
- The Main Gauche is hangs from her left hip, the swordbreaker is on the right.
Appearance
~Human (Normal Form): Medium oval-ish shaped head, framed by her brown hair. Silver-colored glasses frame her eyes. Semi-pale white skin tone on her face and neck. Wears a baggy orange rust colored t-shirt, just plain with no writing or anything. Her arms are a light tan which fades back to a pale white under her shirt sleeves. She has the same orange color on her bandana, which helps hide her ears. Whole bandana is wrapped around the top of her head. She does have a sports bra on underneath of the shirt. Light blue baggy jeans cover her legs, hiding her white socks, until stopping at her gray and blue hiking boots. Her boots are a little large for her, due to the actual size and how she ties it. Slightly hunches her shoulders when standing or walking.
Her ears are six inches long, usually folded down, blending into her hair. Ears start at about an inch higher than her human ears were. Slightly above average build.
~Rabbit form: A swamp rabbit. Brown fur, including tail, which is the same as her hair color. Ears are about two to three inches long.
Both forms have silver markings all over that appear when either is using skills. Mostly looks like the classic spiral lines for wind, yet wavy types of tail lines. Certain areas glow, depending on skills used.
Markings
- All markings can be hidden.
- Wisp can not currently see any of her markings in either form. Including her eye symbols.
- There is a silver-gray wind symbol in both eyes. Only appears when she is focused on the enemy, it helps her to aim. Not easily visible.
Human: Symbols start around the eyes, no spirals, yet a wavy, teardrop-style, line leading to the cheeks on the outer corners of the eyes. Two spirals on either side of neck, wavy tails end past shirt collar (Same on back of neck). Wavy lines snake out of shirt sleeves into interlocking tails of spirals that are at the top side of elbow and wrist, yet curve to the sides. On her back large spiral circle with four wavy tails, two that barely touching the back neck lines, and two curving toward her waist. Same pattern design on her legs, except on both sides, slightly curing to the top. Leg lines near waist start at her outside edge. Inside edge starts with a spiral on her upper leg. Spiral on the top of her feet, tails snaking around her ankle and end with a spiral on the back (anklet style).
Rabbit: Small spiral starts at both back ends of her ears. Wavy tail of spiral ends at the start of the ears. Large spiral on back with six tails. Top one ending at the end of her skull. Next two curve around her neck and end in a small spiral (appears like a necklace). These two also branch off, leading to her forelegs and ending at the top of her paws with a tiny spiral. The side two lead to her hind legs, stopping before the spiral on her hind legs. The last one stops at her fuzz ball of a tail. A lone spiral is on her chest and stomach. Two small spirals are on her head. One on her forehead whose tail connects to another on the top of her head.
Personality: Hard to actually pin a type of personality on this girl. Basically, she's mostly shy, kind, and quiet. The next minute she can seem down and depressed yet she tends to just hold her head down. Usually doesn't do anything if someone messes with her, except a faint glare after the person walks away. A type of person you would not pay attention to while walking by. A ghost, if high school types count. Naive, yet extremely cautious around large groups of people, also a little paranoid.
Same as in her rabbit form, but without the glaring.
Strengths: She's kind of a novice tactician in a fight. She has basic knowledge of weapons; swords can be used to slash, daggers to stab and slash, and so on (No gun knowledge though). Her cautiousness helps her stay focused on the enemy(s) and surroundings, kind of knows how to use the environment to a advantage, for example; she will use the trees as cover in a forest setting. Knows how to swim, around average styles, likes staying under the water. Would not trust an enemy in a fight if suddenly gives up. Agile in her rabbit form.
Weaknesses
Fighting: Has never physically fought before. Does not have a lot of strength, and little to average stamina. Underwater, she cannot hold her breath for very long. Panics easily, and too cautious. She wants to help protect people she is friends with, yet is kind of a coward. Her rabbit form is very weak. Vision is blurry if her glasses fall off.
Fears: Her fears is anything that happens in a fight. Ironically, with her primary element, she is scared of heights and falling. Fear of guns.
- She has only fought with her skills so far, but has never fought hand-to-hand.
Skills/Spells: Primary skill type element is air. Secondary is the shadow/darkness element.
- Areas that glow are listed for each skill.
- Her air element attacks can be seen by the enemy as a light gray form of a shape or line. Air Shot example: An outlined circle. Sky Pillar is seen as a pole or a line/rectangle with the planks, depending on view.
- Shadow/darkness attacks are fully visible.
- All elemental skills use energy. Fainting is always able to stop her attacks. Most other skills do not use energy, unless noted.
- She needs to physically move to use the basics, until she masters them.
- Her rabbit form allows her to uses the basics very well, but on a subconscious level.
~Basic Skills: Air element~
Air Shot - Requires her to punch to use this. She sees this as a softball sized light fog gray orb traveling in a straight line. Does not curve. Minor pain, feels like getting hit with a soft pillow if too far away. The opposite distance is getting hit with a flat 2x4.
- This can push an opponent back a bit if used up close.
- As of now, she can not accelerate this attack.
Air Shot as rabbit: On ground- Rises up on hind legs, and falls back down Symbol on top of her head glows. In air- small hop forward, ears pointing forwards, normally towards an enemy. Head and ends of her ears glow.
Sky Pillar - Allows her to appear to be moving/standing in mid air. Can be either vertical planks or horizontal pipes and can fuse together if needed. Activates when she thinks of getting above something and jumps. Immediately forms under her feet as poles.
Poles: Sees this as same light fog gray color pole which starts at the bottom of her shoes and fades into the air at about two feet down. Can walk up the poles like stairs, yet prefers to hop up.
- Poles can not grow, or stretch. In rabbit form, the poles can become boxes instead.
- They only form one at a time.
Planks: Planks are same color as the poles, yet flat. Rectangle in shape. Base length is three feet, width is three feet. The plank can stretch to about six feet long and four feet wide. The planks enable her to walk/run around in the air if she wants to.
- Wisp recently found the plank version can be used as a weak shield. Can only form one at a time. Slows down/ or grabs the object it is blocking. Learned when she was training under Zachary Leos against a Ice Knight.
Form difference:
Rabbit- automatically forms underneath her. Symbols on all four legs glow while doing this.
Human- Has to focus to do this. Symbols on her ankles glow. Somewhat fails at this until she learns more about it, yet it will always succeed at cliff edges and other tall areas (subconscious response).
- It can fail also if she is really frightened, as it happened before the Ice Knight attacked her.
~Basic skills: Shadow element~
None so far.
~Full skill list~
- Cannot use the most of these skills yet. Unless marked as otherwise, like (Basic) or (Currently Learning).
- Most skills can be used in mid air. Exceptions: Breeze Feather, Wing Guard, and Haze Ward.
- All of her air element skills make her listed markings glow a light fog-gray.
Air Element- Air Shot (Basic)
- Sky Pillar - can be used as an attack to launch an enemy into the air. (Basic)
Gale Edge; a blade of air, shaped as a light gray half circle. Faintly cuts the opponent and knocks them back. Can be vertical or horizontal, always launches forwards.
Human: Swipes at the air with either arm. Spiral on wrist makes her hand glow.
Rabbit: Raises ears upright, then quickly pulls them back down. Always launches straight ahead. The ends of her ears glow.
- Gale Edge can be dodged by jumping or ducking.
(Learned in Assignment 10, in her training thread.)
Hawk Wing: Same as Gale Edge yet covers both sides, as well as the front.
Human: Sweeps both outstretched arms to her front (Clapping motion). Her arms do not touch. Both arms glow.
Rabbit: Holds ears out to the side in a horizontal line, then hops forward.
- To dodge this can jump, duck, or get behind her.
Breeze Feather: Minor recovery skill. A two foot, gray spiral forms at her feet, and sends a coil spinning around her. Can only heal small cuts, and slows bleeding with medium cuts/gashes. This is also a weak shield, with a faint breeze spinning around it. Example; blades of grass move near the edge of the circle. Can block small projectiles, depending on wind speed.
Human: Wraps her arms around her, her body faintly glows.
Rabbit: Does not move, entire body glowing. Spiral is smaller
- This skill is dependent on how fast the coil spins, which decides how fast she recovers. The coil will match the surrounding wind speed, or the automatic breeze that comes with it.
- Only does this after a fight, or a sucessful escape attempt.
- Unable to move.
(Learned in Assignment 18, in Wisp's training thread.)
Shadow/ Darkness element- Her markings turn dark gray when she uses this element.
Shadow Spire: A single dark gray spike or cylinder comes out of a shadow to strike an opponent. This is solid, yet looks like a dense fog. Can come from any angle. Can injure the enemy if it’s a spike. Chosen shape (spike or cylinder) is picked depending on her thoughts. Angry; it’s a spike, while frightened: it’s a cylinder.
Human: Combined movement of pulling something up in her right hand and shoving it toward the opponent. Various angles depend on her pull. Right arm and hand glows.
Rabbit: Stands up, then falls back down to all fours. Both forepaws glowing.
(Learned in her joint assignment vs. UZ.)
Ebony Fang/ Ebony Tooth: A combination of her Hawk Wing and Shadow Spire. Three spikes/cylinders jut out toward the enemy on three sides; Front and both left and right. Always grouped as a horizontal row.
Human: Uses both hands to pull up, then shoves a ‘wall’. Both arms glowing.
Rabbit: Stands up with ears raised up, then falls down with her ears flat. Forepaws and ear markings glow.
- Ebony Fang if using spikes, Tooth if cylinders.
(Learned in Assignment 25 in her training thread.)
Wing Guard: A two foot wide, black spiral forms on the ground, and five black rings floating around her, a faint gray haze in-between the rings.
- Rings are positioned at her head, chest, waist, knees, and her feet. They are also two feet away from the spiral.
- Used to block projectiles and minor attacks.
- Cannot move during this.
Human: Holds both arms out horizontally, standing upright. Both arms glow dark gray.
Rabbit: Stand up on hind legs, both ears horizontal. Ears, head and chest markings glowing dark gray.
~Combination Skill: Both Elements~
All listed markings appear half light and dark gray. No glowing.
Haze Ward: Combination of Breeze Feather and Wing Guard. A two foot wide light gray spiral appears on the ground under her feet. Five black rings float in mid air, at the same positions, with a light gray fog between them. Dark gray fog swirls around Wisp’s body in either form in order to heal herself. This skill is used to treat medium wounds. Small wounds are instantly healed. Medium wounds take time to close and heal. Major wounds can be closed, yet takes a long time, while blood is slowed. The wind around this circle is a slight gust.
Both: Same as Breeze Feather (markings, and everything).
- Healing time varies with wind.
- Same use condition as Breeze Feather.
- Ring position and length away from spiral is same as Wing Guard.
- Immobile when in use. Helpless if found.
~Other skill(s) No element~
- These skills use no energy.
Transformation: All symbols glow a light gray, and forms an orb around herself, entirely obscuring her changes. The orb sizes changes according to which form she’s turning into. Large orb: human, small orb rabbit.
Human: She has to crouch down on to all fours, before she can transform. Appears like this when she also turns back from being a rabbit.
Rabbit: Has to curl up into a ball.
- This can be stopped by hitting her.
- Will be knocked backwards in what ever form started the transformation.
Hearing: This is an obvious one, due to her ears. She can hear footsteps at a close to medium distance and, faint thuds from a far. Could learn to tell if it’s a certain person over time, like a dog can.
Speech: She is able to talk when she is in her rabbit form. By thinking of what she want’s to say, she can ‘shout’. Her ‘shout’ is her voice coming out of nowhere.
Monster: This ‘skill’ is based off of her transformation. This form is looks like her rabbit form, yet bigger. Can be brought out by knocking her unconscious or severely wounding her.
~Details for
Monster~
Height: 5’ 3” (Human standing height)
Weight: 180 lbs.
Eyes: Hazel/Red
Appearance: A huge brown furred swamp rabbit. Gray spikes sticking out of the areas of her spiral markings, except her chest‘s spiral marking. Inch-long fangs line her mouth. Has five half-inch claws sticking out of her paws. Can walk without hopping, yet it does not work well.
- Only will harm the enemy that brought it out. Can attack with most skills listed. Every skill is twice as strong as the original.
- Mainly will use her fangs and claws, but can use her body spikes in body slams and side tackles.
- Will not kill anyone, including the person that caused Monster to come out.
- This form can not use Breeze Feather, Wing Guard, or Haze Ward.
Monster will stop when the enemy can not fight back or leaves. When Wisp turns back, she is in whatever form she was in when she changed. She is unconscious after using this ‘skill’. She is also healed of most of her wounds.
Wisp does not know about this ‘skill’.
Biography
Wisp sat down under a dying pine tree, hoisted her large, brown leather bag onto her lap. She began to dig through it, looking for something. She found a picture of her mom and dad and took it out. Staring at it, she began to remember why she was outside in the varied Florida Winter/Spring time weather. Wisp‘s rust orange shirt flapped in the breeze, with tears falling onto it was well as her slightly muddy jeans. She hated to remember this. It had been about five years since she left.
Mom:“(Old name) wake up, hon. Your going to be late.”
Her covers held her human shape, disabling her mother from knowing what happened yet. She squirmed, muttering, “I’m up, Mom.” Failing to stand, she fell out of her bed with a small thud, as a brown rabbit.
Wisp’s mother entered the room, and saw her the rabbit. “ What is a rabbit doing in here,” and just stood there looking at her daughter, puzzled.
Wisp turned her rabbit head to her, “What rabbit, Mom,” her ‘voice’ asked as if she was talking to her mom normally.
Her mother’s eyes widened in response to the rabbit on the floor. She immediately walked out of the room and went down stairs, to get her father. She was able to look around her room with a different perspective.
“Why is everything so big? Why didn’t Mom recognize me? What rabbit?” she thought.
Wisp suddenly heard her Mom screaming, “ The rabbit talked and everything. It called me Mom, and sounded like (Old name) too!” Wisp was at the top of the stairs in her two-story home. She managed to hop down one stair and almost fell down the next, still uncertain about the rabbit. From where she was, she could hear her dad’s reply,“ Well what kind of rabbit was it?”
Her mother stated“ It looks like one of those rabbits from the nature preserve, a swamp rabbit, I think.”
“Well, we’ll have to take ‘it’ outside then, come on Rain.” Rain, their beagle, jumped up and waited for her father to say something.
Father: “ Get it!” As soon as hearing that, Rain immediately ran toward the stairs. He had taught Rain to help get Wisp up and was able to “get” different things by what word came next. Since her father said ‘it’ first, Rain knew it was not Wisp to get.
Rain spotted Wisp as a rabbit and ran towards her.
“ Rain, NO!”
Without thinking, she leapt up and stood on a gray box, in thin air. Rain stopped, puzzled. Wisp’s body was glowing a light gray with markings all over her. She hopped over Rain while using the boxes, and smacked into her father’s head.
“What the…!” Her father stood wide-eyed at the glowing rabbit.
She was still in mid-air, when she looked at her father, kind of stunned due to the impact. Her father is six feet two inches tall. Wisp then leapt onto a pole and kept using the odd poles to escape out of a window.
Her father grabbed a gun and aimed it at his daughter. Wisp turned around to face him, when she was outside. Her ears glowed and she brought them forward. A gray orb shot from out of nowhere and knocked the gun from his hand.
With her ears in front of her, Wisp realized what the rabbit was. It was herself.
“Whoa. Why am I a rabbit?”
Just then she heard a gun cock. Her eyes widened, and she fell to the ground. Rain bolted out of the dog door and headed towards her. Wisp bolted again, into the underbrush, finally stopping on a dry patch among saw grass. She was able to hear her father yell out “Don’t you ever come back!”
----
Wisp’s head snapped up. She muttered, “I did come back, even though you both hate me now.”
She recalled a more recent event, after she turned back and gained her ears.
----
Wisp hopped back home and leapt up to her room using the boxes. Once inside she tuned back into a human, grabbed her school bag and emptied it out quietly. She managed to shove five shirts, three pairs of jeans, a couple of bras and a bandana with some other things into her bag. Then she took a picture, the one of her parents. Rain surprised her as she was getting ready to leave.
Rain began to growl, as she did not seem normal anymore. The growling turned into a loud bark, causing her to cup her ears as best that she could. She dropped her backpack out of the window, her father’s footsteps thudding up the stairs.
“This better be important, Rain, you don’t lie when you bark like that.” Her father said. Her mother looked out of their room, “Be careful, dear.”
“Don’t worry, I have my gun.”
Wisp’s eyes widened, and Rain darted to her, attempting to hold her until her father came. Wisp crouched down, and in a gray flash of light she was a rabbit again. She managed to dodge Rain’s grab by leaping on the gray box.
She bounded out of her open window just as her father ran into the room. She got to the ground, turning back to normal, and grabbed he bag. She was about ten feet from the woods, when her father began shooting at her. He fired at her five times, each one missed due to her zigzagged running.
“Goodbye, Dad.’’ She shouted, letting her father hear her. He stood there, dumbfounded for a minute, then fired the last shot.
This one whizzed by her head, it left a clear message to her.
Do not return.
Wisp wiped her eyes, and stared at the picture. Gritting her teeth, she tore the picture until it was in little shreds. She stood up, and flung her bag into her back, tossing the pieces onto the ground. The wind kicked up a bit, as she continued towards the town, going through the marshland as to avoid people.
