I tend to have the last word in just about everything that I do/write/argue about. Being the extremely stubborn person I am, I don't care who you are, if you're right or wrong, or anything of the sort, I'll have the last word if there's anything I can do about it. I even do it around my best friends and significant other. Sometimes, it's purely out of habit, in which case, I'll feel bad about being a jerk afterward. ...I really do hate being stubborn.
