This is a tad vague to me.

Do you mean authentic African music? Because if so vocals play a pretty inseperable part of their music. Many of the more exotic tonal instruments in Africa are very expensive and hard to come by, so they use voice. Regardless, you're going to be hard pressed to find any song from Africa, popular or authentic, that contains no vocals whatsoever.

As far as popular music goes, I'm not terribly up to date on it, but from my understanding the modern scene is mostly made up of rap and several permutations thereof. Though many older African tracks from the 70's still remain very popular.

You could try Prince Nico Mbarga, possibly an African Church Choir or maybe Traditional Djembe Drum type stuff, and see if any of those work.
