I think the idea of The Minish Cap (turning miniture) would work phenomenally well in 3D.

I just picture a lot of detail, and a vast world just as big and open as the main overworld when you're miniature.

They would have to change a lot of things about the game though, make it longer (much longer) harder, etc.

That's why I'm not a big fan of remakes, you have to change too much.
