Im not sure about how I feel about that. In some games, like the hack series, or final fantasy, I love that your able to do stuff like that. But I really don't think it would work well with zelda. Most of the items in zelda are traditional stuff he's (link) has had for a long time, or got a little more recently in the series. Of course new items are always a good thing, but not to many of them. Like the spinner and ball and chain in TP, at the most maybe 3 or 4 new items a game would satisfy most fans I imagine. But adding so many different shields and what not might not go over as well. I do like the idea of giving Link different hats/helms. Though that to might not play out well, but I still like the idea
