You have obviously misunderstood something, or more likely, not read all of this thread. I go over this in my original freaking post. Why would a water species evolve when their entire world turns into water? Far more likely is that they would flourish. Or, if the waters proved to be too treacherous, they would most likely migrate, rather than evolve. I, personally, believe that the waters were too treacherous and they did migrate (explaining their complete absence), probably too Labrynna. Oh, and even if they did evolve into Rito, not all of them would have. If the Rito truly were the evolved descendants of the Zora, there should still have been some Zora around, because unless a species just has no ability to survive in an environment (which the Zora should have had at least some, considering that its an ocean), at least some of them will stay the way they are and not evolve. But that is not how it is in WW, which leads me to believe that something else happened to them, like migration. I would say that eradication by predation would be an acceptable alternative, except that they recur in games we know are after WW (like PH).
