Then where were the Rito in OoT? Death Mountain is Dragon Roost, so where were the Rito?

The only thing I can think of besides the Rito being descended from the Zora is if they were descendants of the Watarara instead. But of course, that can't be since the Watarara are manga-only.

As for it being such a short period of time for evolution, Valoo and/or the Goddesses could've sped it up. Lastly, Medli says the Rito used Grappling Hooks before devloping wings. this means they haven't always had the abilitity to get wings from Valoo's scales.
