I kind of would like to agree with you, but there
are families of Kokori in OoT. Forr example, the twin girls, of whom I forgot the names, and I am also pretty sure that there was a group of brothers who hung around with each other. But you're right, there are no visible parents around, which makes me think that perhaps Kokori are... produced?... in a ceremonial type ritual. Something like... a male and female can...somehow 'summon' a new Kokori with the aid of the Great Deku tree, and sometimes there are twins, and the couple could return to have more... "children." Perhaps the explanation for there being no maternal or paternal care is just a matter of species culture. What I mean is that maybe the Kokori have the belief that their only caretaker is the Great Deku tree, and parents do not care for their children.
