Zelda didn't really do anything in Twilight Princess. At least, not much. She did hold a sword at one point. Maybe they were hammering out the plotline ideas, they through out the idea of Zelda being more...actively involved in things, via a Sheik-style arrangement.

I doubt it got much farther than ideas in the early phases of things...but the drawings would exist.
