They both wield tridents, that's for sure. However, the Trident of Midna doesn't seem to be a trident made of energy, it's not actually physical.

Ganondorf is actually oftentimes reffered to as a "Demon King" so I can't see the Trident not having belonged to Ganon.

As far as this theory goes, it's possibly but I'd like to see some more evidence than the fact that both Ganon and Midna has a Trident.
