I live in a state with the most annoying accents: Arkansas. Although my entire family is from Arkansas, Tennessee, or Missouri, I don't have a Southern accent like them. I've been told numerous times by different family members and random people at school that I have a "northern" accent, whatever that is supposed to mean. (It's probably because my town has a high influx of people from the Chicago area. Why? Beats me.)
