Hmm good point there, but remember Ganondorf's one of those people who'd do just about anything to get what he wants. Even going to the extreems of killing the royal familly. (You can tell by his eyes...)
And a caring mother would do "anything" to protect her children. Seperating Link from the royal life may have been her way of doing that. That way (if they were related) the two next to ken would take the throne, haha after they smoke that ganondorf freak. Especially if both the King and Queen were killed in the war..but who says that it was the king sitting in the throne in OOT?? I mean Ganondorf was being pretty polite, more than what he would with another man.
