What kind of computer was the first one you had (or you used in your household)? Have you always had a computer around you throughout your life? If you have your own computer, what was the first one you had?
The first computer we had was a Commodore 64 that we got around '94. My parents didn't want to buy an expensive, new computer, so I imagined that's why they bought that one. Even at the age of four or five, I was better at navigating around the computer than both my parents. At that time, all I was really allowed to do was play educational games, seeing as I was staying home the year before Kindergarten instead of going to preschool.
I can't really remember the first computer I got. I believe it had the Win95 OS on it, maybe Win98, with 1 GB of memory, a poor graphics card, and no sound card. It was quite possibly the slowest PC I had ever used. A few months later, though, on my thirteenth birthday, my parents bought me the computer that I still use to this day. It's a HP with XP, a Celeron processor, 128 MB of RAM, and killer speakers. I eventually upgraded the OS to Professional and put an additional 256 MB stick of RAM in it... It's five years old now, though, and I'm in desperate need of a new computer.
OK, Go!
