I think most people who enjoy Nintendo in general (and this includes Wii) do so for the enjoyable first and second-party games, which are usually adventure games or party games; Microsoft and Sony fans tend to lean towards first-person shooters and RPGs, respectively, as well as driving games.
There are exceptions to this mold, such as Shadow of the Colossus, Okami and presumably Banjo-Threeie, but that tends to be how the cookie crumbles.
