Just a Little Scuffle (Zorolo, Halcyon Hero, MrRandom)
OoC: I'm using Sora.
BiC:
”Exit light. Enter night.
Take my hand. We’re off to Never Never Land.”
The band singer belted the lyrics so loudly that he was more yelling the words than singing them. Of course, he had to do that to even be heard over the instrumentalists who seemed to be having too much fun. Sora was fairly sure that the actual song didn’t sound anything like what was being played. Then again, it really didn’t matter to her. The hunter was leaning up against a wall, her arms crossed and her eyes darting over the crowd.
A myriad of people were dancing to the band, if their movements could be called dancing. Headbanging, air guitars, and screaming the lyrics unintelligibly were the majority of the movements. Most of the clothing consisted of black and metal studs. The crowd might have thought they were the epitome of awesome but Sora thought they all looked like a bunch of idiots. Then again, its not like I’m here to enjoy myself. Her eyes scanned the crowd once more. The hunter was given a tip that a vampire had been getting free meals at various parties such as this one. If the bloodsucker decided to show himself (or herself) here, the half-breed would rake in a little money. After all, a vampire dining on losers like these can’t be too strong.
“Hey, little lady, you look like you need to relax.” A medium-sized guy slid up beside her. Sora had moved to the edge of the crowd to avoid any morons that might try to pick her up. Looked like she hadn’t moved far enough. “Here,” he offered a joint, “This’ll make ya feel good in no time.” The female wrinkled her nose at the smell and turned her head in the other direction, not even dignifying the man with a reply. He just scooted closer. “Aw, come on, don’t be that way,” he laid an arm on her shoulder.
“Don’t touch me.”
The man leaned in closely, putting his ear near her mouth with his hand still on her shoulder. “What did you say, cutie?”
An elbow swiftly found its way into his soft gut. “That clear enough?” Sora muttered under her breath and shoved the man into the crowd. His stumbling body knocked into several people and then toppled onto someone.
“Watch it!” someone shouted. Soon the argument could be heard even over the screaming music. The sound of punches soon followed as numerous fights broke out around the building. Aw crap. At this rate, the whole party would soon turn into a giant brawl. Then how was she suppose to find one vampire?
A random person suddenly jostled her, knocking the hunter off balance while flaring her temper. The fist fighter turned to face Sora with his fists up but just received a punch in the nose for his effort. His nose broke and some of the blood came off on her knuckles. Great. Since this little operation had gone nowhere fast, it was probably time to leave. The half-breed darted along the wall, weaving around fights and kicking anyone who didn’t immediately get out of her way.
The doors to the building were already open when she got there, the fight having spilled onto the street. Many people were still fighting with bloody noses or black eyes while others were siting and trying to recuperate. A few were simply lying on the ground, knocked cold from their little scuffle. Sora took a breath of cooler outside air and started to walk away from the pointless fights. Until one group decided that she wasn’t done. One of them moseyed up to her and flicked out a knife, “And where do you think you’re going?”
The hunter rolled her eyes and smirked, “Some place where the people don’t look like absolute morons.”
“You little-!” the man charged at her with the knife. A dark blue blade appeared in the lady’s hand and she used Pure to slap the knife out the man’s hand. Then her blade came back across and knicked the man’s arm. The sword came to rest with its point at the man’s throat. Maybe it was a little bit overkill to summon one of her swords to deal with this pest but it sure felt good to see the terrified look on his face. Sora’s smirk widened, “So, which one of you still wants a piece of me?”
