I think it being between the Hylians, Gerudos and the Shekiah would be more interesting...

and then make the Zora and Goron able to be bought or sold as extra units....

Hylians-Based on Technique
-The need to make the classic yet awesome archer, Pikeman and horseman
--Horseman move quickly trample and attack (they should actually keep moving instead of running then standing still and attacking, like the way you can make vultures in starcraft move and shoot only they do it with swords instead) (hit and runs)
--pikemen move slowly but have a high attack power and defense
--Archers move at medium speeds and have ranged weapons

Then you bring in the magicians
-Choose what you want a group of magicians to cast Warcraft 3 style
--Nayrus Love-Increases the defense of units in a certain area area
--Dins Fire-Increases the attack of units in a certain area
--Faores Wind-Ups the Speed of units in a certain area

Buildings
-Walls
-Housing-Creates 4 units per house
-School-Teach units Magic
-Archer Range-Teach units how to be archers
-Horse Ranch-Teach units how to ride a horse
-Armory-Pikeman Training

Gerudos-Based on Speed and luck
-Build lots of units
--Once in a while you'll get a "Ganondorf" which you can use to kill off tons of units and everyone else will do mini damage to make it easier for him

Defenses Dependent on numbers... but you basically just keep on growing by building "hotspots" which is another name for a Jacuzi

Shekiah-Based on Suprise
-One Basic unit that uses ranged attacks but not as long range as archers and are medium speed
-Use invisibility to scout out areas
-Distract your enemies with smoke Grenades
-Lay Down Bomb traps for enemies
-They're main base is on wheels so it can constantly change location but you have no real defenses.

Use a distraction
Infiltrate Bases and lay down bombs then run away

look for the Triforce to make your units Stronger, more HP or faster

Actually...
I think there should be one race...
-And you have to play that race well....

Using A mix of Obvious tactics, Tricks and hope for a hero by making a giant population
