Personally, I think that making Zelda games that expand into differant genres can be a great way to further explore the story and history of Hyrule from a new perspective. Why not have an RTS based on one of the wars mentioned in the Zelda backstories?

If they have just a game about a war and it was a RTS, people would complain majorly. Zelda is a medieval game...not some futuristic game. I don't even know what an RTS game is but I'm guessing its like a futuristic game. And how would you even make a game about one war? Would you be thrown straight into battle without a story? Would there be a story and just the battle?
