Re: A Cat's Requiem (Anyone)

Molly sighed contently, wiping a few drops of water from her mouth with her wrist. She had taken off her shoes and hat, letting the gentle breeze through her short hair. The sun was a little lower than last time she had looked, so it must have been mid afternoon by now, plenty of time to make it back home. Better get back to work, before it gets too late. With a little hop, Molly got back on her feet. Smiling a little, she put her foot ontop of the pencil-cup, and gentle stepped down on it. It quickly fell apart into graphite dust, and was lost in the grass. As she turned back to her semipainted canvas, she saw a small, grey kitten heading her way.

"D'awwwwwww..."

She quickly ran over towards the small feline, slowing down and dropping to her knees before she got close enough to scare her away. "What're you doing all the way out here?" Molly smiled, reaching out with one arm, index finger extended fully. The kitten looked at her curiously, but obviously wasn't startled or afraid of its new friend.

"You must be used to people, aren'tcha?" Molly reached out a little further, and scratched the gray cat on the top of its head. She sat quietly, leaning in against Molly's caress. Movement caught her eye, and two more cats slowly walked towards her, one black the other white and brown. The smile on Molly's freckled face grew as she continued to scratch the gray one.

"Wonder where you all came from, all the way out here..?"
