Re: A Cat's Requiem (Anyone)
OoC: Here we go, my first battle post, let's see how it goes P:
IC: Heb the small black cat had been watching this girl for quite some time. As she had been walking around suspiciously near the gang's latest hideout, he had been ordered to watch her until she went away. The girl had (in Heb's eyes increasing her level of suspicion tenfold) searched around a bit to make sure nobody else was there, though she hadn't looked into or suspected the small places that Heb could fit into. Heb had watched the girl in wonder as she painted her surroundings, but this was something else. She had painted a glass of water into existence? Captain Jamba had to be alerted, this was far too strange. Heb dashed back to their hideout to warn the rest of the crew.
He burst into their (latest) base, surprising several older cats who had been eating. "Why the rush, Heb?", asked one of them, a scarred veteran known as Spike. "Did you find us a fish so big that you couldn't carry it back alone?" A few of the other cats smiled - Spike's imagination in the world of food sometimes seemed to be limitless. Heb stared back seriously. "No, there's a human girl nearby who can use magic! She made a glass of water just by painting it!" Spike grinned, probably thinking of the girl materializing a fish as large as a house, but the other cats looked nervous. You didn't know what a magic-user would do, they could set you on fire or lift you into the air with a thought.
Jamba appeared behind Heb. "I heard it all", he stated. "I'm going to go have a look at this. Heb, come with me. You too, Bekka. The other cats nodded in understanding. Bekka was their method for testing humans. She was a petite gray cat who liked to groom herself, but had a surprising turn of speed. If the human she walked up to was friendly, she'd get a pat or a piece of food. If it was one of those cat-hating humans, Bekka was good at sprintning away before she got the boot. Heb led Jamba and Bekka back to the girl. If all went well, maybe they could get a meal out of this.
