Well as far as the puppet thing is concerned, if you pay attention Ganon jumps up above the rafters then he creates the puppet. I mean I didn't take that thing seriously ether, with a saterday morning cartoon makeup on the game made almost any enemy hard to take seriously. Let's see, here's a question what about Valo? The fact his tail hanged down into the boss room proved how the game was silly.
