Re: Do Gods Walk Among us?
I'm not one to bible-bash. Nor am I one to dictate. My only concern was the statement on God seeking vengeance. It frightens me. Not because I fear God, for why would you fear your parent unless he/she gives you reason to? God isn't an abuser, is he/she? Vengeance frightens me because it's so cold, uncaring, and barbaric. Vengeance is an edge of man. If God be a patron of reciprocity, then we are all damned without recourse.
I know good people. Many, in fact. Are these people to be hated for their decision not to read a book? I have read the bible, many times, and it does have a great message....for the most part. But to base everything on something so corruptible, so accessible to men....I require the easing of spirit, not of mind. The bible doesn't give me that. And to say that there is one person on the face of this earth that holds the truth....I just can't feel it. It doesn't seem to sit right.
If anything, God is a dreamer, a scientist, and a parent. That's all I can say for certain. Anything else would just be dreams of my own.
