Re: MacroMatter
Chapter 3: Visiters
Plants started to grow. Not green plants. More of a mix brown and purplish. They grew rather slowly, but were tough when it came to the cyclonic weather that swept the landmass every 2 monthes. The landmass was stretched out to it's limit now. Which was about 35 miles. Earth miles that is, not THIS universe's miles. Why didn't it stretch out farther? Well, with the 2 suns magnetic poles, and the outside sun's magnetic poles along with the landmass rotating on it's axis, it made somewhat of a reverse magnetic pole in which it could stop the landmass from stretching out father than what it currently was. No creatures of multicelled origin have formed here. But that's not surprising. There may not very well BE anything ever that is multicelled. (Animals for example, the plants are there by chance...) The plants have seemed to adapt to the cyclonic weather. The grass is about as sharp as a knife when hit with strong force of non-organic matter (Like rock being thrown from a cyclone for example) but when touched or hit with something that is organic and has cells (ex: a larger plant falling) it becomes gentle, bending in whichever direction it pleases.
The plants are growing in swirls and shapes never known to man. Well, this is after all, new land. But the thing that amazed me, the dreamer, was that the plants had no roots whatsoever. They seemed to be formed with the rock. All the sudden in space, in the same exact place as ricky spawned, 2 other beings appeared in more complex space suits.
“Ok we have teleported to the last known sight of Ricky Malsa”
“It's Malso m'am”
“Yes, Malso, whatever. General, what are our next objectives?”
No answer from their radio.
“General?!”
Still no answer.
“Damn.” the two people floated there in space. “Hm...” said one. He looked in his mid 20's, and in great shape. He spun around in mid air. “This is a lot different than our space by earth...” said the man. The woman twirled around too. She looked the same age as the man. “Yes, it seems a little... looser... like we could fall, but not quite...” she did a back flip, then twirled around. “What's that?” she said, amazed.
They were looking at the suns. Eyes glowing as they slowly circled eachother. “Why aren't they... touching?” said the woman. The man shook his head. This wasn't right, they both thought.
“Where's this ricky kid?” said the man. The woman looked around. She started to look up, down, sideways, diagonal, anywhere. “There... aren't any stars I can see...No galaxies... nothing...” The man looked around too. “You're right!” he said. “This isn't possible!”
Then they saw it. Right in the middle of the suns was a black dot. “What's that?!” they said at the same time. They stared in amazement as the 35-40 mile long piece of land spun horizontally on it's own axis and the sun's. The man turned to the woman.
“I just realized, we are going towards the mass!”
“WHAT?!” The woman looked at it in terror, it was getting closer. “Quick!” she said. “Engage all shields, get rockets on, and get ready for impact!”
They pressed a few buttons on their suits and it formed a metallic shield around both of them like a bubble. At first, me being the viewer of all this, how is it possible? The last person who came over was from 2340. Then I looked at their suits, the date number said “2658” on it. I then realized, a few hours in this universe must be a couple hundred years in earth's universe! Amazing. Simply amazing.
So they shoot over to the land mass, at speeds unknown. They may be going at the speed of light, they may not. They are just going by the force the suns are taking them.
They start to get very close to the land mass, the atmosphere starts to quickly lighten into a bright day. They start to get closer to the land mass, gaining speed as they do. They are only a few miles near the land mass, “Engage reverse rockets and deploy parachutes!” says the woman. From the back of their metallic shields come 2 parachutes, and from the front there are rockets. They slow down, but still hit the ground the a BAM! The woman gets out and starts coughing. She can breathe. How? She can breathe but it smells weird. She takes out a scanner and scans the air. “Air is composed up of, 40% oxygen, and 60% unknown substance” she stares at it blankely. “Unknown?”
She then see's her companion. He is coughing, but holding his leg. It is broken.
“Just a fracture...” says the man laughing to himself. “I'll be fi- AH!” he falls over. The woman catches him. “You're alright... So... where do you think this Ricky guy is?” She says as she rests the man on the ground. “Well...” he says. “I think we found him...” He says as he points to the ground a couple of yards away. On the ground there is a name tag, and surrounding that name tag are a couple of body parts, burnt from the rays. Obvious effects of not wearing the proper suit.
“God, he got burnt up pretty bad...” said the woman as she held one of the arms, which was still so hot she dropped it. “Wait....” she said in astonishment, “How is it still hot, when he dissappeared 318 years ago?” She looked over to the man. He looked surprised. “I....don't know... but... how... It all hurts my head!” he said as he held his head.
“It's all too weird” said the woman. “Come on, lets get you patched u-...” she heard something.
The wind picking up.
She and the man looked around, and saw a couple big cyclones, heading straight for them.
