^ Have you read the instruction booklet of the Ocarina of Time? It clearly states in one of the last pages that Link is aged
seven years when his quest begins which makes him 14 years old when he becomes older (seven years apart).
There is the proof if people actually read. It even states it in the special edition of the Ocarina of Time game that was released for the Nintendo Gamecube.
Back to the topic, I think Wind Waker Link is aged between 8 to 12 years of age. It all comes down to how we see him and how we want him to be the hero that we individually see in him.
