Re: Weezer

Pinkerton.

Make Believe.
The Blue Album.

Maladroit.

The Green Album.

This is how I feel about Weezer's albums, best on top, spaces representing how much better one is than the next. Why is The Green Album so low? Allow me to ruin it for you. It's very uninspired. Listen to the guitar solos, first of all. All ten are the EXACT SAME tune as the vocals. It also clocks in at under 29 minutes long, which is just not enough length to be a full album in my opinion. Rivers also puts less heart into singing for The Green Album than any other, and it shows. It's mostly because his greatest accomplishment, Pinkerton, didn't do well, and he poured his entire soul into that album.

Anyway, Make Believe is great. I LOVE Perfect Situation and This is Such a Pity. Pardon Me stands alone as a Weezer song in that it doesn't end with a simple vocal pitch change, as 90% of Weezer songs do. It adds a couple extra lines, which hit really hard.

Pinkerton is my favorite album of all albums I own to sing along to. Rivers is a very infectious singer.

I like Weezer.
