Because Ocarina of Time is a very important game that pushed the video game industry forward in the same sense that Super Mario 64 did. Not only that, but it is a great game that has no glaring flaws, just little nitpicks that add up to nothing. With that said, I feel that Majora's Mask surpassed it in every sense, Link's Awakening had better writing, and A Link to the Past is more timeless. Ocarina of Time is still aging quite well... The gameplay is still above most of the games that come out today, and the atmosphere for the temples are only surpassed by the worlds in the Metroid games.

I found OoT's Hyrule Field theme way better than the classic overworld theme.
