Pretty hard for me as I'm not much into anime as of late, but here it goes:

1: Anything by Miazaki, most memorable being Spirited Away. Loved the colors and atmosphere of the art.

2: Ghost in the Shell. Lots and lots of detail into the art, and not drawn in the 'generic anime' style. I used this as a prime example to convince my freind Jamie that not all anime look the same.

3: Death Note. The animation is great and the art kinda blurs the line between anime and semi-realism.
