Re: [Zorolo]:Molly Thatcher's Education

"Wow..."

Molly stood wide eyed as she pivoted slowly on the spot, taking in every inch of the massive chamber she stood in. Her mysterious fall through the painting had dropped her right into the large beam of light that she had spent quite some time getting perfect. She breathed quietly while taking in its warmth. Crystal clear water bubbled loudly in the fountain, creating the only noise in the entire chamber. Molly dusted off her smock, then hoisted her bag as she slowly made a circuit around the massive fountain.

The initial amazement had began to fade, becoming replaced by a growing sense of fear. She shook her head before these thoughts could begin talking in her mind, I'll just explore a little...this is much better than that stupid facility, hospital. The soles of her shoes clicked with each step against the pristine marble floor as she continued around the fountain's basin. Up ahead, standing in a corner of the great room, stood a small figure, dressed in a brown robe. No feet stuck out from the bottom of the robe, nor did hands show from under its sleeves. While the robe was tattered it was especially well worn especially torn up where it dragged against the floor. Curious, Molly ran towards him.

"H-hey! You! You in the robe! Who are you? What is this place?"

The figure did not respond to Molly's hails as she approached it. Nervous again, she slowed down to a slow walk, "Hey, can you hear me? Are you alright, mister?" She reached out to tap the figure on the shoulder, but when she did, the scratchy feeling robe sagged slightly under her touch. The young girl gasped loudly. This person had no body.

She quickly stepped back, arms up in front of her, ready to run at a moment's notice. Then, the figure turned around slowly to face her with nothing but two glowing yellow orbs where eyes should be under its dirty old cloak. These eyes appeared to move separately, sliding left, right, up or down randomly. Molly's eyes widened again as another gasp of surprised escaped her throat. The fact that figure had no body together with the situation as a whole scared Molly quite a bit. Then, without notice, it spoke in what sounded like two voiced at once. One was a squeaky sounding girl's voice, while the other was a very flat boy's voice. This once again provoked a small jump from Molly.

"Do not be afraid, we will not hurt you."

Miss Thatcher stood her ground, not quite as afraid, "W-who are you?"

"We are Tattle an-"

Molly interrupted, "You have no body!" she hissed, too scared to speak louder than a whisper.

The girl giggled while the boy sighed apathetically, "Do not worry about that, you will soon fine things much harder to believe than this. Now, as we were saying, we are-"

The excited young girl spoke again, this time very quickly, "My name is Molly Adeleine Thatcher, I was just painting in my room when I fell into it! I have no idea what's going on, or where I am! Can you help me?" Finally, she exhaled loudly.

The lights under the robe flashed crimson, while both voices made a frustrated noise, "No. We cannot tell you. However, there is a man named Kaze. I have a feeling he will be much more adept at helping you than we will. Come, follow us."

The figure pivoted on its "feet" before sliding forwards towards a small glass door that seemingly appeared out of thin air on the nearby wall.

"K-kaze? Who's that? Hey! W-wait for me!" Molly quickly ran after the figure, her footsteps echoing throughout the chamber.

Together, the artist with her mysterious accomplice stepped through a small entryway, the door opening until a brightly lit hallway, Molly turned around, to examine the room, only to find that the door she had just walked through had vanished. She shuddered, before turning her eyes on the sight before her.

The walls, floors even the ceiling were painted unlike any Molly had ever seen before. It was as if several artists all got together, began painting in random spots, with visions of knights in battle, various fruits, giant naval engagements, average people, all sorts of ideas, stopped in the middle then continued painting someone else's thoughts. All over the place, thoughts mixed with different colors, all running into one another. A Coca-cola logo met with the Mona Lisa. Elsewhere, American soldiers from the Great War charged into battle, heading straight towards a pack of buffalo. Above Molly's head was a brave looking cowboy with his gun at the ready facing off against a bowl of fruits. The young girl's jaw hung loose as her eyes wandered. Many images had their colors completely out of contrast, while some were toned in grey scales, while others were oddly twisted, smudged or blurred.

"It's-it's like I'm standing in my own brain...What's going on? I didn't paint this..."

The pair walked on, Molly gawking every which way, while the figure in brown glided next to her without twitching. Up ahead, another door appeared. This one was made of plain black wood, with an obnoxious lime green splash of paint across it.

"Go through that door, Kaze will be waiting for you. He will explain everything to you. We will see you again."

With that, the mysterious-floating-cloak-with-no-body-but-two-floating-eyes retreated, heading back to where the pair had come from. Molly watched curiously as it floated away. "W-wait! Who are you? You didn't tell me your name!" The figure ignored her questioning again. At once, the glass door materialized, slid open then disappeared, taking the brown cloaked person with it.

Unsure of what to do, Molly took one last look at the paintings all around her, turned, then twisted the doorknob.
