Re: [Zorolo]UZ's training thread!

(OOC: 727 words here. You know, if I had actually posted once in a while back when Altamira was my teacher, I'd probably already have been to this point in my training, heh.)

BIC:
“Well, I’m going to leave you alone for the night,” said Zorlo to his new student. “Enjoy the evening, get plenty of rest, and I’ll see you tomorrow.” With that, Zorlo ducked out of the revolving turntable of a door, leaving UZ alone in his new room. UZ slithered his way to the top of the rock bed on the side of his room and set his head against the wall, letting out a huge sigh.

“What a day it’s been,” he thought to himself. “I’m not even sure if I can remember what happened throughout the day.” Deep in thought, he grabbed a notepad from the bookshelf and began to record what he could recall from the day…

It had started around 6:00 that morning. He hadn’t been able to sleep that evening, as had been the case for a few evenings previous. He had been going slightly insane in his head due to his inactivity for weeks. All he did was scream that something, anything could happen to change that, and suddenly, an earthquake had hit. Strangely, when he awoke from the daze the earthquake had caused, he was sitting in front of a large dome. THE Dome, it would turn out to be.

He had entered the dome and wound up in a gigantic hedge maze, which left him wandering for what could’ve been hours. The hedge maze had lots of horrible noises echoing through it, which followed him annoyingly and frighteningly throughout the entire maze. Eventually he had hit the end of the maze, which had 2 forks on it. Both signs under the forks in the road had long since rotted away, but he swallowed his fear and went into what he assumed was the fork he wanted.

A long dark tunnel was what awaited him when he hit that side of the road. After a few minutes of wandering, the tunnel suddenly shrunk down to being only about 2 feet high and only slightly larger than that widthwise. The tunnel had been filled with large spreads of glow in the dark lichen and moss, which had brushed off on him in some spots, much to his hatred. Suddenly, the entire hall had begun to fill with large needles protruding from the walls. Being unable to contain himself in the sight of so many needles, all coming toward him, he fainted.

When he awoke, he had been in a stone room almost like the room he now called his own, with much less greenery and instruments, of course. An overly cheerful elf had told him something about a teacher and how the teacher wasn’t going to be there, and how the teacher was being replaced by another teacher… it was all very confusing to UZ at the time, not knowing what teacher they were talking about in the first place. Eventually he had tired of all of the hustle and bustle and gone off himself to find this teacher. A few short stops at a few hallways and the cafeteria later, he was in a large beachy room with a lake in it.

After narrowly escaping a horrible death by Piranhas with a plan that was as odd as it was… well… stupid, UZ got across the lake to an island with a treasure chest on it
(“I never did find out what was in there, dammit”) and was soon greeted by a strange man decked in green who called himself Zorlo. He was forced by Zorlo to fight a water dragon, overcoming it with clever use of boulders to make the dragon stab its own head. Eventually it was explained to UZ that he was a student at the dome, and he was going to be trained by Zorlo.

UZ stopped writing for a minute to consider Zorlo. He seemed like a nice man, stern but fair in his teaching so far. And he had a sense of humor from what UZ could tell, always a plus. “In fact,” UZ thought out loud, “He almost reminds me of Z’eed in a far off sort of way. Maybe it’s just the fact that Z’eed was green. Heh.” UZ set the notepad down near the bottom of the rock bed and settled himself down near the pillow-like vines on the wall. Soon, exhaustion took him over completely, and he had gone to sleep.
