It's taboo because of numerous reasons, tradition being the nr one reason. As with many other things, the taboo is getting weaker and soon enough it will be gone... which is great.

Myself, I have nothing against homosexual people... as long as no gay starts hitting on me, then I will have something against him. And for the record, I can't watch two guys kiss. It's quite nasty, if you ask me. However, that is my problem, not anyone elses.
